Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-At least 20 passengers were confirmed injured after a bus and a heavy truck collided near Arte district in Djibouti, the country’s national broadcaster, RTD TV, reported Saturday.

The accident took place on the RN1 at pk30, with emergency services rushing to the scene to assist the victims.

Among the injured, four people are in critical condition, including the bus driver, according to the report. All victims have been transferred to hospitals in Belbala for further treatment.

This comes just a week after another road accident on Venice Road in Djibouti, which resulted in one fatality and 20 injuries. Authorities continue to emphasize the dangers of speeding, citing it as the leading cause of road accidents. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
