SoohoydePuntland’s security forces have announced that they intercepted a boat that was on its way to Yemen.According to a statement released yesterday by the Puntland Anti-Terrorism Command, the boat was captured near the Bacaad area in the Bari region.The boat was carrying a group of people, including both Somalis and foreigners, as well as young children, the statement said.The boat reportedly ran out of fuel, which led to the security forces seizing both the vessel and the people on board. All passengers were detained.“A full investigation is underway regarding the boat that was headed to Yemen and was intercepted by security forces near Bacaad in the Bari region after it ran out of fuel,” the Puntland Anti-Terrorism Command stated.Puntland authorities also confirmed that further investigations are ongoing into the boat’s journey and those on board.
