Djibouti City, Djibouti – Iraq’s Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, made an official visit to Djibouti on Friday 25th April 2025, where he met with Djibouti’s Minister of Interior, Said Nouh Hassan.The visit focused on strengthening the relationship between the two countries.According to the Ministry of Interior of Djibouti, during the meeting, Minister Said Nouh Hassan expressed a strong commitment to enhancing cooperation between the interior ministries of both countries. He emphasized the importance of strategic cooperation, particularly in security and addressing global threats.“Minister Said Nouh Hassan expressed his readiness to build a strong foundation for cooperation between the interior ministries of both countries,” said a statement from Djibouti’s Ministry of Interior.Following the meeting, Minister Al-Shammari extended a formal invitation from Iraq’s President, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, inviting the President of Djibouti to attend the 34th Arab Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Baghdad on May 17.
