Jigjiga(Mogadishu24)-The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation was launched on Thursday in Jigjiga, the administrative capital of Ethiopia’s Somali Region.The initiative aims to reduce malnutrition among children under the age of five and will operate in nine districts of the region for a period of three years.This project is supported by UNICEF with the assistance of the Somali Regional Ministry of Health, and its implementation involves collaboration between different ministries, including the ministries of water, agriculture, social affairs, and cooperatives.The launching event was attended by representatives of the regional Ministry of Health, the regional UNICEF coordinator, the directors of health, agriculture, water, and social affairs, as well as other top government officials.
