Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre on Friday evening announced the necessary to have to electoral Commission on time, in order to avoid political uncertainty as it happened in the past.“Tomorrow, when there is little time left, if we announce that we are appointing an electoral commission, there may be political uncertainty as we have seen in the past. To prevent this scenario and ensure a smooth electoral process, we must appoint an electoral commission now. Their task will be to facilitate the preparation of all parties involved, thus ensuring that the country can conduct its elections smoothly and punctually”, Hamza said this during Iftar event of the holy month of Ramadan in Mogadishu.The Prime Minister also commented the ongoing Parliament activities regarding to the constitutional review and proposed amendments where debates of the fourth chapter came to an end, saying completion of the provisional constitution is a must, despite opposition.“All opposing politicians used to pledge completion of the provisional constitution during their pesidential candidacy at time, but the problem is if they are not implementing the task, it should not be done and that is not possible. The constitution is a collective issue with periority for all the Somali people”, he added.
