Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali National Army and Jubaland State forces conducted an operation at Kama-jaroon area in lower Juba region and inflicted casualties on Al-Shabaab militants during the operation, officials said Tuesday.

SNA radio in Mogadishu and Jubaland State TV in Kismayo reported that the operation happened midnight, targeting the strong-holds in the region, but they did not provide details about the exact number of casualties so far.

Al-Shabaab militants did not comment the operation in lower Juba region, but the group’s afflicted media released photos of dead bodies and army bases near Baidoa town in Southwest State Somalia yesterday after the group’ attack there early this week.
