We did not get the quorum.”Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur emphasized the importance of adhering to the parliament’s rules and regulations, describing attendance as a constitutional duty. He attributed the delay to the failure of Federal Parliament members to show up for the session.This development comes just three days after the Somali President opened the fifth session of the joint parliament in Mogadishu.The postponement also follows accusations from some members that the parliament’s leadership lacks independence and is influenced by the executive branch of the government.The situation remains unresolved, raising concerns about the functioning and autonomy of Somalia’s parliamentary system.
