Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama expressed his honor in joining a graduation ceremony where he personally handed out certificates to students who completed specialized education courses through the Adolescent Girls Education in Somalia and Bar Ama Baro initiatives.

These programs have empowered over 90,000 young Somali women by providing literacy, financial knowledge, and skills to become active members of society and enhance civic engagement.

“I commend the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education for leading these programs in collaboration with our partners, the U.S. Embassy in Somalia and the UK in Somalia,” said Deputy Prime Minister Jama.

In a related development, the European Union announced on social media that EU Ambassador to Somalia, along with Deputy Prime Minister Jama, officially inaugurated a new shooting range and multi-purpose track. They also handed over equipment, trucks, and life-saving material to the Somali National Army at the General Daud Training Center.

Supported by the European Peace Facility and the European Union Training Mission in Somalia, this initiative underscores the EU’s commitment to enhancing Somalia’s security sector.

These collaborative efforts highlight the international community’s ongoing support for Somalia’s educational and security advancements, aiming to foster a more stable and prosperous nation.
