Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-The U.S. Embassy in Mogadishu announced on Tuesday via X (formerly Twitter) that the U.S. government is the largest single donor of humanitarian assistance to Somalia. Between FY 2022 and FY 2023, the U.S. contributed over $1.6 billion to support critical humanitarian response and development assistance in the country.In addition to humanitarian aid, the U.S. has been a key supporter of the Somali government in its efforts to enhance security.
