The letter, delivered by Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, on September 1, 2024, follows Ethiopia’s recent actions concerning the filling of the dam, which Egypt has consistently opposed due to its potential impact on Nile water distribution.The statement issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry strongly condemns Ethiopia’s unilateral actions, which Egypt argues are in violation of international law and threaten regional stability.
