Baidoa(Mogadishu24)-The United Nations Deputy Envoy to Somalia on Saturday held crucial discussions with Southwest State authorities, addressing key issues such as security, aid diversion policies, humanitarian interventions, and partner collaborations.

The meeting involved Southwest State Ministers and Deputy Regional Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nur Mohamed.

The talks came at a time when relations between the Federal Government of Somalia and Southwest State have been strained. The discussions aimed to foster cooperation and address regional challenges to enhance security and improve humanitarian efforts in the region.
