Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-On Monday, the Benadir regional court sentenced a man and three women for financing and collecting funds through bank accounts for the terrorist group Al-Shabaab. Chairperson of the Court, Salah Ali Mohamud, announced the verdict.Hassan Osman Aden was sentenced to 13 years in prison and fined $20,000, while the three women—Fadumo Hassan, Amina Abdullahi Abbanur, and Hanna Aweys Khasim—were each sentenced to two years in prison.The court had earlier described the accused as a family closely collaborating with Al-Shabaab.This case is notable as the Benadir Court, typically handling civil cases, took up a matter related to terrorism, which is usually dealt with by the military court.
