New York, USA(Mogadishu24)-The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Molly Phee, met with African Union Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security, Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, to reaffirm their shared commitment to confronting Al-Shabaab in Somalia.

The Bureau of African Affairs emphasized the U.S.’s steadfast partnership with the African Union, highlighting their joint vision of a peaceful and prosperous Africa.

Both parties reiterated the importance of continued collaboration in promoting stability and security across the continent.

“Always a pleasure to meet with Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Molly Phee. We renewed our commitment to jointly seek solutions to governance and security challenges on the continent”, Adeoye said Wednesday.
