Hargeisa(Mogadishu24)-The Somaliland National Electoral Commission (NEC) has taken a significant step towards the upcoming November 13 elections by administering the oath of office to staff responsible for managing the distribution of ballot boxes.

These team members will oversee the packaging and delivery of ballot boxes and other essential materials to polling stations across the region.

In a key development, the NEC, along with the Political Taskforce, officially received the ballot papers, which arrived at Egal International Airport. The delivery marks a crucial milestone in the preparations for what is being hailed as a historic election, as it will feature both presidential and parliamentary races on November 13.

As election day approaches, political parties are actively campaigning, adhering to schedules provided by the NEC. The joint elections are expected to shape the political landscape of Somaliland, with all parties intensifying their efforts to reach voters in the final weeks leading up to the polls.
