Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre held a meeting today with Heiko Nitzschke, Germany’s Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, to discuss key areas of cooperation and achievements in Somalia’s development.

The meeting underscored the growing partnership between Somalia and Germany, with a shared commitment to advancing regional stability.

During the meeting, Mr. Nitzschke congratulated Somalia on notable achievements over the past two years, including securing debt relief, joining the East African Community (EAC), and Somalia’s recent election to the United Nations Security Council for the 2025-2026 term.
