Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djibouti’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, welcomed a delegation from the Saudi Development Fund, culminating in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering Djibouti’s healthcare system.This agreement includes the rehabilitation of the Sultan bin Abdulaziz Dialysis Center at Peltier General Hospital and the construction of a new dialysis center in Balbala.These initiatives reflect Djibouti’s commitment to improving healthcare access and modernizing health infrastructure, especially for renal disease treatment.The Saudi delegation, alongside Djibouti’s Minister of Health and the Djiboutian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, visited the Peltier Hospital dialysis center to assess existing conditions and better understand the urgent needs of patients requiring renal care.The delegation also visited a 20-hectare site in Douda, designated for a new Peltier Hospital funded by the Saudi Development Fund.This large-scale health project is expected to significantly expand Djibouti’s medical services, reinforcing the Saudi Fund’s commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure in Djibouti.
