Addis Ababa(Mogadishu24)-Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed highlighted the progress of Ethiopia’s peace and security institutions, emphasizing reforms as a foundation for building modern and robust national systems.

Speaking at the Ethiopian Air Force’s 89th anniversary celebrations, Dr. Abiy commended the Air Force for its milestone achievement in preparing the indigenously developed aircraft, “Tsehay 2,” for operational readiness. The advanced plane is equipped with cutting-edge technology, enhancing its efficiency and capability to fulfill its mission.

“The reform efforts undertaken by Ethiopia’s security institutions have laid a strong foundation for building institutions suited to the nation’s needs. Among these, the Ethiopian Air Force stands out for its achievements,” said Prime Minister Abiy. He also reaffirmed the Air Force’s vision of becoming Africa’s leading air power by 2030.

The anniversary event showcased the Air Force’s commitment to innovation and self-reliance, aligning with Ethiopia’s broader development and security goals.
