Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Al-Shabaab militants on Saturday killed Liban Golcad, commander of the Paramilitary forces unit after fighting between the group fighters and the forces at Busley village near the tourist destination, Jazeera in lower lower Shabelle region.

Army officials confirmed the death of the commander of the Stabilization forces unit /paramilitary forces during fighting in the outskirts of the capital Mogadishu.

Al-Shabaab militants claimed the responsibility for the attack at SNA base in the area, and overran it, it also said that its fighters killed several soldiers including the officer and captured others.

The attack comes a day after a week long operations by the Somali National Army and its International partners on Al-Shabaab targets in the same region with heavy casualties on both sides according to the reports and claims of the both sides.
