Diridhabe, Ethiopia – Efforts are underway in Diridhabe to construct the Center for the Preservation of Old Books, a facility aimed at safeguarding aged books to ensure the preservation of the community’s intellectual heritage. The organization behind this initiative was founded in 2013 and initially operated from a small tin-roofed house before moving to a four-room rented building dedicated to book storage.
