Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djibouti Government on Saturday applauded the arbitration decision of the International Court of Justice on the ongoing genocide in Gaza against the Palestinian people and that Israel must immediately end the barbarity.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti, Mahmoud Ali youssouf said that the decision of the ICJ which demanded Israel to stop its genocide against Palestinians will be tabled at the United Nations Security Council.

“The decision of the ICJ which demands Israel to stop its genocide against Palestinians will be tabled at the UNSC, then we will see on which moral ground member countries stands : on the side of good or evil : there is no 3rd option”, he said.

“Being tagged as a democratic country does not give the right to kill and assassinate civilians by thousands for the only purpose of ethnic cleansing and land seizure”, he stressed.

Mahmoud said that the ICJ has given a glimmer of hope to these 153 countries which represent 80% of humanity which no longer want an international order based on double standards and international law with variable geometry.

Djibouti Government thanked South Africa for representing the world as the best of its humanity.

“Thank you South Africa for representing the world as the best part its humanity : thank you the ICJ for upholding the strength of the international law reminding us all that « Might is not forcibly Right”, Djibouti’s foreign Minster stated. 

Djibouti’s comment comes a day after the ICJ decision calling Israel to all genocide atrocities in Gaza strip in Palestine.
