Algiers, Algeria — A delegation from the Government of Djibouti, led by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Budget, has officially participated in the annual conference of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) held in Algiers, Algeria.This year’s conference, which will run until May 22, 2025, focuses on advancing Islamic finance and technology, with special emphasis on promoting e-commerce and strengthening economic cooperation among member countries of the Islamic Development Bank.Officials from member countries of the bank gathered to discuss new development plans and opportunities, particularly ways to enhance financial services that comply with Islamic Sharia principles.The Islamic Development Bank and Djibouti share a longstanding economic and developmental partnership, with the bank providing extensive support to Djibouti through development projects aimed at reducing poverty and improving social services and infrastructure.The conference holds particular significance for Djibouti as it offers a valuable opportunity to reinforce economic collaboration and development, while engaging in discussions and strategies to advance Islamic finance services and modern technology.
