Djibouti – The Ministry of National Education & Vocational Training and the Ministry of Higher Education & Research of the Republic of Djibouti have signed a framework agreement that lays a solid foundation for sustainable cooperation between the two institutions. This agreement is designed to streamline and coordinate the educational journey of students, from primary school all the way to the university level.The signing ceremony took place at the “Excellence” school on June 2, 2025 and was officially signed by the Minister of National Education, Moustapha Mahamoud Mohamed, and the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Nabil Mohamed Ahmed.Experts in the education sector have described this collaboration as “historic,” as it establishes a shared roadmap focusing on key issues such as: teacher skill development, alignment between curricula and research, improvement of course systems, and strengthening of preparatory classes in secondary schools—which, although not yet fully recognized, have shown strong potential.Minister Moustapha Mahamoud Mohamed, in his opening remarks, emphasized the significance of this agreement, stating: “This document is a real tool. It helps us address the conflicts that are still obstacles for our youth. The time has come to create for our students a clear, connected, and open path—from primary school to university. One word is key: excellence.”The main objective of this agreement is to continuously monitor each student’s educational journey. This collaboration aims to build a transparent, effective education system that genuinely responds to the real needs of students.
