Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djibouti will host the third Turkey-Africa Ministerial Review Conference on November 2 and 3, bringing together Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his counterparts from 14 African countries.

This high-level event aims to review the progress of commitments made during the 2021 Türkiye-Africa Partnership Summit and to align actions under the 2022-2026 Action Plan, Turkish diplomatic sources reported.

The conference will be attended by foreign ministers from Egypt, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Djibouti, Chad, South Sudan, Comoros, Ghana, Angola, Mauritania, and other African nations selected through the African Union’s channels.

The ministers will discuss strategies to enhance Turkey-Africa relations in trade, investment, and other areas of mutual interest.

The Djibouti meeting will also lay the groundwork for the fourth Türkiye-Africa Summit, scheduled for 2026 in an African nation yet to be announced. The ministers are expected to adopt a joint declaration reaffirming both sides’ commitment to strengthening their partnership in various sectors.

Notably, Somalia, a close ally of Türkiye, was not included in the conference list of attendees. This absence comes despite Somalia’s historically strong ties with Türkiye, which has provided extensive support in security, infrastructure, and development.

The Turkey-Africa Conference underscores Türkiye’s growing influence and partnership with African nations, as the country continues to engage with the continent through a focus on economic collaboration, investment, and diplomatic ties.
