New York (Mogadishu24)-Djiboutian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf met with U.S. officials, including Mike Hammer, U.S. Envoy to the Horn of Africa, and Polly Phee, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, to discuss bilateral cooperation during the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.The talks focused on promoting peace and stability in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.The Bureau of African Affairs highlighted the meeting on X, expressing the importance of U.S.-Djiboutian collaboration. Djibouti’s Foreign Minister is also seeking support from African leaders and international partners for his bid to the African Union leadership.
