Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djibouti’s Minister of Finance, Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, welcomed a high-level delegation from the World Bank led by Vice President Ousmane Dione on Monday for discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation and supporting Djibouti’s development goals.The talks are part of an ongoing effort to boost collaboration between Djibouti and the World Bank, particularly in areas such as inclusive growth and the energy sector.Minister Dawaleh expressed his enthusiasm for the visit, describing Vice President Dione as a “valuable brother” and a strong supporter of Djibouti. “With most of the senior management from the World Bank and IFC Africa, we will have a great week of dialogue and discussions to elevate our cooperation to new heights,” he said in a statement on X.Vice President Dione also expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting discussions with Djibouti’s finance and energy ministers. “Very good first meetings with Minister Ilyas Dawaleh and Energy Minister Yonis Ali Guedi to discuss our partnership and Djibouti’s energy sector.
