Djibouti -The Ship Repair Department of Djibouti has achieved a significant success with the repair of its first ship, following the completion of its repairs last Thursday.

The repaired ship, named MF Abu Yasser, has resumed its operations after being fully repaired, leaving the Djibouti port with over 16,600 head of livestock.

Djibouti Ship Repair Yard (DSRY) officially began the repair work on April 18, 2025.

The Djibouti Ship Repair Company, founded in 2020, has spent the past five years acquiring modern equipment that enables it to professionally carry out repairs on large ships.

This initiative is part of Djibouti’s Vision 2035, which aims to develop maritime services and boost the economy.

This new achievement demonstrates Djibouti’s ability to become an important maritime hub, playing a significant role in both the regional and global economy.
