Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Officer cadets from the Amia-Arta Academy have completed an intensive joint training course with the Marsouins of the 5th Air and Marine Infantry Regiment (5e RIAOM) of the French Armed Forces.

The program, designed to teach the fundamentals of handling explosives, focused on everything from setting simple charges to assembling complex chains according to the country’s information agency.

Over the course of several days, the participants engaged in a rigorous blend of theoretical and practical lessons, culminating in the use of live explosives. This hands-on experience is essential in preparing the future officers for real-world scenarios, whether in training exercises or actual field operations.

The training is part of a long-standing partnership between the French Forces stationed in Djibouti (FFDj) and the Djiboutian Armed Forces (FAD).

Both militaries continue to prioritize operational readiness for the next generation of Djiboutian military leaders, with a focus on building skills that enhance security and stability in the region.

This ongoing collaboration aims to strengthen synergy between the two armies, ensuring effective cooperation in maintaining regional safety and reinforcing their shared commitment to peace and security.
