Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djiboutian Government reaffirmed its commitment to continue efforts to strengthen education and vocational training as the 2023-2024 school year officially commenced in all regions of Djibouti, with over 162,000 students returning to primary schools.President Ismail Omar Guelleh, has on Monday returned to the country after attending the 37th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.During this summit, President Guelleh delivered an important speech on education, highlighting Djibouti’s efforts to strengthen education and vocational training.“African leaders also discussed conflicts, development of the continent and challenges posed by global crises. Solidarity between African nations is essential”, Statement from Djiboutian Presidency said.According to the Presidency, President Ismael Omar Guelleh was supposed to chair an extraordinary IGAD Summit, but that summit was postponed due to an agenda issue.
