Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh met with African Union Commission Chair Moussa Faki Mahamat today, discussing Africa’s peace, stability, and Djibouti’s role within the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and AU integration initiatives.President Guelleh commended Mahamat for his dedication as he concludes his term, adding, “We discussed key issues for Africa’s peace and stability, and I thank him for his dedication.”Djibouti, seeking the AU Commission chair role, has put forward Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Yusuf as its candidate. Yusuf faces competition from Kenya, Madagascar, and Mauritius.
