Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Ethiopian Ambassador to Djibouti, Berhanu Tsegaye, met with U.S. Ambassador to Djibouti and IGAD, Cynthia Kierscht, to discuss regional security and strengthen bilateral relations between Ethiopia and the United States.

During the meeting, Ambassador Berhanu emphasized the importance of collaboration on key issues affecting the Horn of Africa, including peace and stability.

“I had a courtesy meeting with H.E. Cynthia Kierscht, US Ambassador to Djibouti, and IGAD, raised various regional issues and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral, political, and economic relations between Ethiopia and the U.S.,” Berhanu said on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.

The talks underscored the commitment of both nations to work closely on security matters across the region, which continues to face challenges ranging from conflict to humanitarian concerns. The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to enhance diplomatic engagement and promote a stable and peaceful Horn of Africa.
