MOGADISHU, SOMALIA – March 2025 – Former President of Somalia, Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, has expressed his condolences to the family, the Somali National Army, and the nation following the tragic death of Brigadier General Nuur Mohamed Gaabow (Nuur Farey), the commander of the 14th October Brigade. Brigadier General Farey was fatally shot in Afgoye, Lower Shabelle region.
