Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somalia’s Government is planning to hold funeral service for the deceased, former Parliament Speaker, Mohamed Osman Jawari who died at died at 79 at his residence in Mogadishu yesterday.

Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre on Saturday appointed a committee comprising 12 persons mostly ministers to organize the event to honor Osman and burry him in Mogadishu according to statement.

Somali leaders expressed sorrow to the death of the Former Parliament Speaker, Mohamed Sheikh Osman(Jawari) and wished him to rest in peace.

“I wish to express my sincere condolences and the perfect assurance of my sympathy and compassion to the brotherly Somali People in the terrible trial of the passing of one of their most brilliant politicians and statesmen, the late Professor Jawari”, Djibouti President, Ismail Omar Guelleh said on X.

Mohamed Osman Jawari was born in Afgoye district in Lower Shabelle region, about 30 kilometers south of the capital Mogadishu in 1945 and severed as parliament speaker twice in recent history while he also worked former Governments in different positions.
