The Minister of Security of Hirshabeelle State, Mohamed Abdirahman Kheire, accompanied by the Minister of Interior, Abdi Daahir Guure (Karoore), and the Commander of the 3rd Battalion of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Yusuf, held a crucial security meeting with ATMIS officers based at Mohamed Dheere Airport in Jowhar.

During the meeting, ATMIS officers provided a detailed briefing on operations against Al-Shabaab insurgents and highlighted the significant role played by ATMIS forces in supporting stabilization efforts.

Minister Kheire praised ATMIS for their vital contribution to counterterrorism operations and stressed that Al-Shabaab elements would be relentlessly pursued wherever they flee.

“The terrorists are in their final days. Hirshabeelle will be the first region in Somalia to be completely liberated,” stated Minister Mohamed Abdirahman Kheire.

Both sides agreed to strengthen their cooperation to improve security and stability in the areas where they are operating.
