Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-In 2020, Hormuud Telecom was awarded the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certification, meaning the company had been thoroughly audited and found to be in accordance with the requirements of the management system standards. The certificate is given by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), an independent, non-governmental, international organization that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety and efficiency of services, products and systems. To become ISO 9001 compliant, Hormuud had to undergo a comprehensive assessment process that involved quality management system development and training for selected staffers drawn from the telco’s various departments on quality standards. Commenting on this feat, Eng Liban Ali Farah, Hormuud’s Quality Manager hailed the accreditation acquired by the telco, saying it was attained as a result of an unfaltering commitment to providing high-quality services to customers and investing in the latest technology to render the best services possible.Similar sentiments were echoed by Yasin Hassan Yusuf, Hormuud’s Communication Manager and former Quality Manager of the company, who vowed to sustain their quest for enhancing their customer satisfaction levels.“Since the telecom is a service provider determined to provide the best quality services it can, including standardisation and improvement of quality management systems, we will strive to sustain this pace, and only the sky is the limit,” he said, adding that one of the excellent achievements registered by the telecom is offering its customers in Somalia the most affordable internet in the African continent, and seventh worldwide. Engineer Liban said in the process of acquiring the certification, the telco’s various departments were overhauled, resulting in better service delivery and higher customer satisfaction feedbacks. The staff also expressed similar reactions, citing better time management, improved service delivery and overall positive feedback.Founded in April 2002, Hormuud will remain committed to meeting or exceeding the needs and expectations of its customers, while complying with the internationally accepted quality standards.
