Jigjiga(Mogadishu24)-The President of Ethiopia’s Somali region, Mustafa Mohamed Omar, has on Tuesday received a high-level delegation from Ireland, led by the Minister of International Development and Diaspora Affairs, Ambassador Sean Fleming.The president briefed the delegation on the region’s current situation and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to collaborating with international partners.The delegation expressed their commitment to assisting the displaced people in the region and supporting several community basic services.Upon their arrival at the airport, the delegation received a warm welcome from Dr. Hussein Hashi, the Minister of the Presidential Office.This meeting took place the day after the governments of Ireland and Ethiopia signed a grant agreement worth £8.8 million for the Productive Safety Net Programme (PSNP), sustainable health development, and the promotion of the country’s economic growth.Ethiopia’s Somali Regional Administration has made considerable efforts over the years to enhance healthcare services, education, water, and agricultural sectors.
