Kismayo(Mogadishu24)-Jubaland State President Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madoobe) has appointed Sadiq Abdullahi Bogale as the state’s representative to Kenya on Saturday, through a presidential decree.
The President had earlier attempted to appoint a representative to Kenya but later withdrew the nomination. He cited a misinterpretation, as he disagreed with the Federal Government regarding foreign affairs.
Jubaland is not the first State Administration to designate a representative to a foreign country. Prior to this appointment, both Puntland and Southwest States had appointed their representatives to foreign nations.
Ahmed Madobe has maintained a close relationship with the Kenyan Government and its leaders, which is viewed as essential political support that contributed to his election victory.
