Nairobi(Mogadishu24)-Kenya is currently hosting the 3rd Session of the Kenya-Somalia Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC) from May 3-6, 2024, aimed at enhancing bilateral ties.The event, opened by Dr. Korir SingOei, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Foreign Affairs, includes top officials like Amb. Dennis Mburu and Amb. Kubai Iringo, Kenya’s Ambassador to Somalia, and H.E. Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, Somalia’s Ambassador to Kenya.The JCC sessions, split into Senior Officials meetings from May 3-5 and a Ministerial session on May 6 co-chaired by Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, will cover cooperation in trade, security, agriculture, and more. Following the JCC, Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre is scheduled to visit Kenya, further solidifying the nations’ historical ties.
