Baidoa(Mogadishu24)-At least two members of the Somali National Army were on Thursday morning injured after remote control landmine blast happened at area close to Shati international Airport in Baidoa town in Bay region in Southwest Somalia.

The army cordoned off the area and began investigation related to the incident along the way to airpot according to the local authorities.

Al-Shabaab did not comment on the latest roadside bomb attack in the region so far.

But the group carried out mortar attack on the ATMIS camp in Baidoa, Southwest State two weeks earlier according to Special Representative of the AU Commission Chairperson (SRCC) for Somalia Ambassador Mohamed El-Amine Souef during his security briefing to the UN Security Council.
