Mass Wedding Held in Djibouti: 5 Families Benefit from the Program

Last night, a large mass wedding took place in the Balbala district of Djibouti, where five young couples were married. This event was part of a program by the government of Djibouti aimed at helping young people who cannot afford the costs of marriage. The wedding was organized by the Ministry of Women and Family Affairs in Djibouti, in collaboration with the “Waayaha Qoyska” organization in the country.

The Minister of Women and Family Affairs, Muna Aadam, who attended the event, emphasized the importance of marriage for young people, stating that the government of Djibouti places special importance on ensuring that marriage is seen as an opportunity, not a burden. Minister Muna Aadam also mentioned that marriage is a “new opportunity” that needs to be nurtured to ensure successful families.

Young people should be encouraged to see marriage as an opportunity, not a burden. Marriage is a new beginning that needs to be nurtured, and the new families being created are the future of our country,” said the Minister.

The young couples who benefited from the mass wedding program had already been educated about their rights and responsibilities in marriage.

Speeches at the event included remarks from officials of the “Waayaha Qoyska” organization, with the Chairman of the organization stating that building complete families is very important for both the community and the government of Djibouti. “We are happy to be part of this, to build families and create a new generation,” said the Chairman of the Waayaha Qoyska organization.

This mass wedding is part of the Djibouti government’s efforts to support the community, especially the young people who cannot afford the costs of marriage.
