Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-The New Minister of the Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Farrago) revealed that his government will complete the offensive war against Al-Shabaab from the whole of the country in April next year.

Speaking to SNA forces at an Army base in Mogadishu, the Minister said that ongoing military operations in areas under Hirshabelle and Galmudug States will also will be finished next month.

“Al-Shabaab has no training and they are not capable of facing the SNA forces, but their activities are based on terrorism and threat, we are planning to speed up operations and bring them to an end and liberate the remaining areas under the group control in Hirshabelle and Galmudug States next month”, he said.

The Security Minister’s comment came as Al-Shabaab militants intensified their ambush attacks against the Somali National Army bases in the south and central parts in the country including the capital Mogadishu during the holy month of Ramadan.
