Officials from the General Court of the Somali Regional State (DDS) visited about 300 students studying at Jigjiga University. The officials and the university leaders had a joint meeting with these students who are studying law.

The purpose of the meeting was to check on the students’ education and progress.

These 327 students were selected from 11 regions and 6 administrative towns within the Somali Regional State. They are planned to study judicial sciences so that in the future they can help improve the region’s justice system. Abdikareem Ahmed Mohamed, the Deputy Chairman of the DDS General Court, told the media that the court is working hard to improve the quality of justice. He encouraged the students to fully benefit from their education so they can serve the community fairly and effectively.
