Baidoa(Mogadishu24)-At least one Policeman was on Wednesday killed three others were injured in two separate bomb attacks in Baidoa, the administrative capital of Southwest State in Somalia according to the Police.

The Police said that a roadside bomb attack left one soldier and injured another one early in the morning while the incident happened overnight. Chief of one of the city neighborhoods and two children were confirmed injured in that attack.

The victims were hospitalized at Bay Regional General Hospital in the town according to Police sources.

Al-Shabaab militants did not comment on the latest attacks in Baidoa town in Bay region so far, but it said that its fighters killed three Ethiopian soldiers based in Diinsoor town in the same region. It also claimed killing two Kenyan soldiers during an attack near Lamu inside Kenya.

The deadly attack comes as the Somalia marks 64th anniversary of National Independence Week, starting from 26th of June to July 1st.
