Antalya, Türkiye – President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, arrived in Antalya on Thursday to participate in the fourth edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2025, held from April 11 to 13 under the theme “Restoring Diplomacy in a Fragmented World.”

The forum convenes global leaders, policymakers, academics, media professionals, and civil society representatives to address the evolving role of diplomacy in addressing pressing international challenges including geopolitical conflicts, inequality, climate change, and technological disruptions.

According to a statement released by Villa Somalia, President Hassan Sheikh is expected to hold high-level bilateral talks with leaders from various countries with which Somalia maintains diplomatic relations. The discussions will focus on advancing diplomatic ties, strengthening regional and international security cooperation, and promoting economic development.

“The President of the Republic will engage with global leaders attending the forum to discuss matters vital to Somalia’s diplomatic and economic engagement with their nations,” the statement from the Presidency said.

Accompanying the President are State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ali Balcad and Minister of Ports and Marine Transport Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur.

This marks President Hassan Sheikh’s second participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. He previously attended the 2024 session held from March 1–3, where he addressed the diplomatic tensions surrounding the Ethiopia–Somaliland memorandum of understanding.
