Galkayo(Mogadishu24)-The Puntland State has on Saturday Court executed 10 Al-Shabaab militants by firing squad in Galkayo, Mudug region. These militants were involved in a series of killings in the city prior to their capture according to the officials.

While the court did not release specific details about their crimes or how long they had been detained, it was revealed that three members who part of the executed individuals had escaped from jail just a week ago.

Puntland State Army officers stated that they are still actively pursuing additional fugitives and have orders to kill them on sight.

The region faces significant threats from both Al-Shabaab and ISIS militants, with the administration engaged in ongoing efforts to combat these terrorist organizations and piracy along its coastline.
