Boosaaso, Somalia – The Governor of Bari region in Puntland, Cabdirisaaq Cali Ismaaciil Shaahdoon, has provided details on the death of Cabdiraxmaan Shirwac Awsiciid Laahoor, who had previously been sentenced to execution.Laahoor was accused of orchestrating the assassinations of nearly 100 people in Puntland, including businessmen, military officers, elders, and traditional leaders. After evading justice for years, he was finally captured during Puntland security operations in the Calmiskad mountains, where he had been in hiding as siad the Governor.“He was sentenced to execution but escaped justice. When Puntland forces launched military operations in the Calmiskad mountains, he was trapped and ultimately surrendered to the authorities,” said Governor Shaahdoon.Following his capture, Laahoor was transferred to Boosaaso, where doctors confirmed that he was 70 years old and suffering from several serious health complications.
