Garowe(Mogadishu24)-Puntland State Police forces on Sunday evening arrested five suspects including a female who were carrying weapons to the terrorist militant groups in the region, Police said.

The Police said in a statement the they recovered military equipment like GPS Map, A leukocyte alkaline phosphatase(LAP), screw driver, plastic shoes, Inverter solar energy system, and An improvised explosive device (IED) Cell Phone).

The statement stated that the forces seized these equipment with suspects at the west checkpoint of Garowe town, the administrative capital of Puntland State in Somalia, adding that they were brought from southern parts of the country.

The Police identified suspects as Faisa Ali Mohamed, Abdi Ahmed Osman, Haddi Omar Elmi, Abdi Mohamud Ali and Salah Abdukadir Mahad.

Neither Al-Shabaab nor IS militants did not comment on the latest security operation by Puntland State Police forces in Garowe city.
