Garowe(Mogadishu24)-Puntland State President, Said Abdullahi Deni confirmed that Garowe will be hosting the National Consultative Meeting which will prioritize issue of common concerns including the latest developments in the region.

President Deni said that the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud welcomed that Puntland Sate to host the National Consultative Council’s meeting, but did not mention fixed time for the meeting to take place there.

” Somali President welcomed Puntland State for hosting the incoming National Consultative Council’s meeting and he also assigned Deputy Prime Minster, Salah Ahmed Jama to prepare the agendas of that meeting. The President urged to have the forum be held and he will fix time for it”, Deni said in a press conference on Tuesday evening.

He added that Puntland State is prepared to host the NCC meeting, thanking other Federal Member State leaders to accept to participate it.

This comes days after the President Said Abdullahi Deni’s inauguration ceremony as he was re-elected for the President of Puntland State. Puntland State did not attend the latest NCC meeting in the capital Mogadishu in 2023 due to conflict with the Federal Government of Somalia.
