Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali Security forces arrested several businessmen dealing with Al-Shabaab militants and providing them extortion money after conducting investigations regarding to their involvement in this illegal activities.

National Intelligence and Security Agency(NISA) said in a statement that the forces still pursue others who are abiding by the rules and orders from the Al-Shabaab.

The Agency did not mention the number of businessmen arrested, where and when so far, but the group is in the south and central Somalia as well as northern parts of Kenya.

The group has has capacity to impose tax and collect Zakawat from people under areas of its control and beyond by force as they punish anyone who does not abide by their command.
