Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Several Army officers including commander of the Somali National Army’ 60th Commander, Mahad Dhere were on Saturday killed in roadside bomb attack along the way between Berdale district and Baidoa, the administrative capital of Southwest State in Somalia.Southwest State authorities confirmed the deadly incident in which the officers were killed and others injured, telling that the forces were involved in operation to opening key routes in the region.Al-Shabaab militants claimed the responsibility for the attack and said that its fighters killed at least four officers near Berdale district in the region.The group also claimed to have burnt down four armed SNA vehicles at Golelay area about 40 kilometers north of the capital Mogadishu. The SNA radio confirmed the death of the commander, Mohamed Nur Shegow ‘Mad Dhere’ who was killed in landmine blast.
