Wardher(Mogadishu24)-In a shocking incident, six young men were killed overnight inside a mosque in Wardher city, located in the Dollo region of Ethiopia’s Somali State.

According to initial reports, five of the victims, aged between 15 and their 30s, were from the same family, while the sixth was from another family within the region. All were studying Islamic studies at the mosque.

The killings are believed to be linked to ongoing clan retaliation in the area, though local authorities have yet to provide detailed information regarding the tragic event. The brutal attack has left the community in shock.

Wardher has been a hotspot for deadly clan clashes in recent weeks, and this incident comes just after Jigjiga, the capital of Somali State, hosted peaceful talks between warring parties in the region and ended yesterday. Despite efforts to broker peace, tensions remain high, as the latest violence underscores the fragility of the situation.
